Job Description: Principal Risk Associates at Capital One are highly motivated Risk Management professionals with excellent organizational and communication skills. They have a high level of exposure across lines of business and have the opportunity to create and implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Company. The candidate will manage the day-to-day responsibilities of the Risk Management Business Risk Office. The candidate will be a highly-motivated risk management professional with excellent organizational, planning, collaboration, project tracking, and communication skills. ERM professionals are experienced, well-trained, and respected individuals that operate within a highly collaborative team environment to deliver value-added risk services to the organization. Responsibilities: -Assist with the process to produce monthly business review reports for Risk Management (for discussion with the CRO and SLT) and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) -Assist with implementation and execution of risk activities within RM including Compliance CBTs, Information Retention Policy (IRP) certifications, Business Continuity Management (BCM), Risk and Control Self-Assessments, NULAW implementations, Top Risk Reporting, Third Party Management / IATPM, Incentive Risk, PRIME Governance etc. -Assist with the migration of Risk Managements content in our document management / collaboration system of record -Leverage a set of risk leads within the Risk Management organization to develop and execute risk activities on behalf of the organization -Track projects and initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness of risk activities within RM -Participate in and execute other special projects for ERM and RM on a periodic basis -Actively participate in team oriented efforts -Manage multiple tasks independently to meet deadlines -Coordinate work between multiple areas and working on multiple projects simultaneously; leveraging / influencing business partners to drive results -Initiate and execute process improvements and leveraging other team members when appropriate Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or military experience At least 1 year of experience in Project or Process Management At east 1 year of experience in developing PowerPoint presentations / email communications Preferred Qualifications: Project Management, Business Process Management At least 2 years of experience in Project or Process Management At least 1 year of experience in Risk Management At least 2 years of experience in PowerPoint presentations / email communications At least 1 year of experience in Change Management At least 1 year of experience in analysis Proficient with MS Office Suite At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
