What youll do: CSIA seeks an Intern to work with business and corporate risk partners in an effort to continually improve their risk reporting, data governance and risk oversight posture. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the efforts of CSIAs Adviser Risk Management (ARM) team by learning about Schwabs enterprise risk framework and applying that knowledge to create better reporting, controls and improved oversight capabilities for CSIA leadership. CSIAs ARM team is responsible for a number of business activities including operational risk oversight, vendor management, risk analytics, business continuity, cyber security and support for constantly evolving firm wide initiatives. Key Responsibilities: -Development and validation of detective and preventative controls around risk data reporting -Identify data within the respective business area, determine its ownership, and assess the risk associated with the data as needed. -Work with ARM members to create and update a central chart repository for risk analytics and reporting. -Assist in the planning and execution of a program to ensure business area complies with firm data governance standards. -Run queries to gather data to create commentary on Risk Management reports in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Tableau. -Develop new reports and liaise with business partners to identify opportunities for improvement.
