Chemist needs 2+ years' experience

Chemist requires:

Good technical skills with training in wet chemistry laboratory safety is a must.

Comfort and knowledge of working with chemicals, especially hazardous chemicals.

Ability to perform heavy lifting (5 lb. up to 40 lb.).

Organized with good time management skills.

Good communications and observation skills

Good focus and attention to detail.

Ability to travel and work with outside agencies (Somerset Raritan Valley Sewerage Authority).

Ability to perform repetitive work on a weekly basis.

Appreciation of good housekeeping and ability to clean glassware thoroughly and repetitively.

Willing to conduct tedious/repetitive work

BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Biological Engineering, Microbiology, Packaging, Materials Science or Polymer Science would be preferred

Chemist duties:

• Responsible for collecting and recording, interpreting and documenting data in a manner consistent with Good Documentation Practices

• Able to be aware and comply of all relevant standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

• Manages and prioritizes assigned projects with little or no direction.
