This position will provide support to variousChubb business units regarding assessment and performance of key controlobjectives designed as part of Sarbanes Oxley compliance. ABOUT THE FCU The FCU team is part of the Finance Shared Services Center(FSSC), a financial reporting department that provides services to a broadspectrum of the Chubb community. Thisteam interacts regularly with other members in the FSSC, key members of Chubbmanagement, Internal Audit and the External Auditors. The FCU teams primary responsibility is to designand execute quality control testing procedures to ensure managementscompliance with specific key financial controls throughout the financeorganization. _DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES _ * Assist in the performance of the various quality control reviewsperformed by the FCU team. * Premium Registration QC: Perform the quality control reviewsto ensure that policy documentation agrees to how the policy and revenue wereregistered in the source systems. Performdata reconciliations to ensure that the source systems agree to the grosswritten premium that interfaced with the general ledger. * Journal Entry QC: Performthe quality control reviews to ensure that manual journal entries are processedin compliance with the Companys journal entry policy. * Account Reconciliations QC: Perform the quality control reviews to ensure compliance with theCompanys account reconciliation policy. Successful candidates should be able to: * Assist with ensuring the SOX Control Narratives are updatedto reflect the current scope and nature of the control. * Serve as a liaison for the internal and external auditorsfor sample selections and data requests. * Continuously enhance the QC and documentation of reviews inorder to minimize questions from both Internal and External Audit. * Assist with resolving exceptions identified during QCtesting. * Resolve exceptions within an appropriate timeframe after theQC review and secure the required information. * Ensure timely completion of QC testing to ensure thedepartment is meeting monthly due dates. * Ensure quality of the files including appropriate reviewsconducted by the responsible manager before submission to FCU management. * Identify areas requiring improvement, assess scope andresources necessary to make improvements and follow through by executing onimprovement plans. * Advise management on the emergence and progress ofdeliverables, as well as the appearance of issues or obstacles. * Demonstrate agility by managing and prioritizing workload inorder to meet department and client expectations. * Bachelors degree required; Accounting concentrationstrongly preferred * Insurance industry experience beneficial, but not necessary * Public Accounting experience and/or internal auditexperience is preferred * 0-2 years of work experience * CPA designation a plus * Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail * Mastery of end user applications (e.g., Microsoft productssuch as Excel/Word/Access).
