    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    As an intern at Northern Trust, you will have the opportunity to spend ten weeks working on meaningful projects, developing relevant skills to jump start your career while joining our inclusive and relational culture. You will work directly with your team on day-to-day tasks with weekly program events to work on new skills, network with senior leaders and socialize as an interncommunity. A recruiter will work with you to determine the best team placement given your interests, skill set and relevant experience.

    The Program:

    - Ten weeks

    - Located in Jersey City, NJ

    Program Opportunities:

    - Lunch & Learns with Executives

    - Intern Case Challenge Project

    - Day of Service

    - Mentorship and networking opportunities

    Sample Projects:

    - Provide reporting and calculations on NAV (net asset value) for a Hedge Fund - Validate effectiveness and provide guidance of business unit controls

    - Monthly/quarterly financial reporting and analysis for assigned segment

    Sample Career Paths:

    - Financial Controls/Audit - Investor/Fund Accounting

    - Corporate Finance RDP Associate (Chicago, IL)

    - Financial Analyst

    WHO YOU ARE

    - You are pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited college/university with an expected graduation date between December 2024 through Summer 2025

    - You have a minimum GPA of 2.7 or higher

    - You have a strong understanding in Microsoft Office

    - You have an interest in and are curious to learn more about financial markets and investment management operations

    - You have some knowledge of accounting and financial principles and securities processing procedures, usually acquired through accounting/finance coursework or prior related experience, and are curious to learn more

    - You have proven analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills through course work, projects, and or previous internship experience

    - You have demonstrated leadership and teamwork through projects and extracurricular involvement

    Salary range: $25.00 per hour. Salary range is an estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package, including retirement and pension plan contributions, health and welfare benefits, paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life insurance, and other wellbeing benefits.
