A communications internship with Fulton Financial Corporation will provide you with valuable experience in a broad array of banking operations, helping to expand your knowledge of internal and external communication. Under close supervision of designated supervisor, is responsible for observing Bank policies and procedures to acquire a working knowledge of a specific function/department of the Bank's operation and services. Specific activities vary by assignment. English, Communications or Marketing degrees of study required for this Summer internship. Core working hours Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. Responsibilities Essential DutiesPerforms assigned duties in designated department to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures and standards required for successful performance. Reports on progress in internship program and feedback about program to manager. Management feedback must indicate satisfactory progress to remain in Internship Program. Duration of program may vary. Intern may participate in Career Training/Education as needed, as well as, professional networking events. Works on special projects which may include content creation, for the company intranet, a variety of opportunities to write messages and create content, assist with rich media creation, and experience in being part of a team. Qualifications EducationHigh School Diploma or the Equivalent Experience or equivalent experience. Specialty: Fulton interns will be expected to have completed, or currently enrolled and in the process of completing, a 4 year college degree at an accredited college or university. English, Communications or Marketing degrees of study required. Strong academic performance is required. Preference will be offered to rising sophomores and juniors (for summer), and juniors/seniors for fall. Would have completed a minimum of one semester freshman year and at least 15 or more credits. (Required)Experience0 to 6 months Experience requirements will match the needs of the assigned department. Previous work experience, leadership experience, and community involvement preferred. (Preferred) 0 to 6 months May or may not have had previous internship.
