Compliance Monitoring Analyst IIs are expected to become familiar with documentation techniques and be able to work independently and exercise sound judgment of compliance to regulatory requirements. Analyst IIs are to perform compliance tests as developed by the Compliance Monitoring Department and with the assistance of Compliance Monitoring management and Banking Compliance Advisors, evaluate new regulations and develop tests to ensure compliance with these regulations. Responsibilities: Analyze and evaluate controls, processes and procedures of business lines under applicable laws, regulations or bank policy Assist with preparation and updating of test plans as necessary. Utilize regulatory exam manuals to determine the scope of tests to be performed Prepare workpapers that adequately support test work performed and conclusions reached Prepare clear and concise Monitoring Assessment reports Make recommendations to management for mitigation of compliance risk Monitor progress of outstanding issues to ensure corrective actions are implemented to cure compliance violations or deficiencies noted in testing and/or regulatory examinations Evaluate systems and software updates as appropriate to ensure proper compliance risk mitigation Analyze compliance issues related to regulatory and product change/implementation and ensure proper testing is performed Incorporate data analysis tools into the testing process when possible Monitor for continual execution of first line of defense internal compliance controls Perform duties in a manner to meet target completion goals, and other department performance metrics set by management Assist with regulatory exams, as needed Compliance special projects as assigned Work Experience: 1-3 years of banking experience and/or 1-2 years of auditing or compliance related work experience preferred Education: Required: High school diploma or equivalent and some college or equivalent work experience. Preferred: Bachelors degree. Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Law or a Masters degree are strongly preferred. Qualifications: Knowledge of consumer compliance regulations and ability to read, understand and interpret written regulations. Excellent reading, writing, and listening skills. Good presentation skills. Good computer skills (prefer Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Data Analysis skills a plus.
