    Arundel Federal Savings Bank located in Anne Arundel County seeks a Commercial Relationship Manager.

    As the Commercial Relationship Officer you will be responsible for:

    Maintains and grows a profitable book of business through disciplined and proactive business development and relationship management

    Is highly focused on our target client profile; understands their financial needs and effectively communicates our value proposition

    Develops an in-depth knowledge of Bank products and services. Analyzes the needs of clients and prospects in order to effectively recommend appropriate products and services.

    Takes a consultative approach to understanding our client’s objectives, efficiently identifies their financial needs, implements appropriate financial solutions and undertakes ongoing review and assessment to ensure plan execution

    Attains established Bank production goals through active participation in sales management processes.

    Participates in community events and networking activities to increase awareness and presence of AFSB in the community.

    Effectively identifies key risk factors associated with business opportunities and clearly articulates a thorough credit presentation.

    Prepares credit presentations and participates in the underwriting and credit approval process

    Structures, underwrites and obtains credit approval, negotiates terms and effectively documents credit actions and agreements

    Ensures that all loans are documented completely, and that any documentation or loan policy exceptions are addressed and resolved

    Accountable for overall portfolio management, compliance and risk.

    Monitors direct and operating exposures of portfolio to ensure actual performance is consistent with approved limits and loan structures as well as consistent with the understanding or expectations that informed our credit approval.

    Is primarily responsible, with support from Credit Administration and Loan Servicing, for maintaining loan files in compliance with the credit approval and all AFSB policies and procedures.

    Exhibits leadership by example, pursing high performance and professionalism.

    Effectively collaborates with other AFSB departments to ensure an excellent client experience.

    Completes Bank training requirements, follows policies and procedures, maintains proficient knowledge of the rules and regulations, completes administrative tasks correctly and on time and supports the Bank’s goals and values.

    Are you the one we need? If you are, you’ll have these qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related field.

    Minimum three to five years’ experience in managing high value commercial banking relationships, developing, structuring, underwriting and negotiating complex credit transactions.

    Strong knowledge of CRE and C&I lending criteria, compliance, and federal/state regulations.

    Must be a self-starter, and have the ability to take ownership of high profile relationships with minimal supervision while effectively communicating with senior management.

    Proficient in analyzing complex financial statements and credit applications.

    Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

    Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously.

    Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to listen effectively to the issues of customers and employees

    Ability to deal with difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.

    PC proficient, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).

    Some local travel, as needed.

    Ability to function in a financial institution branch environment and use standard office equipment, including, but not limited to: PC, fax, copier, telephone.

    Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (i.e., file boxes).
