ABOUT THE ROLE
iCapital is looking to hire an Associate to join the Corporate Finance team. This role will involve accounting and reporting responsibilities, month end close duties, accounts payable tasks, treasury management and financial reporting consolidations and eliminations as well as ad hoc projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Expense Management and Reporting:
Assist in managing the firm's operating expense base, liaising with department heads for expense tracking, processing, booking, and reporting, while supporting expense budgeting and forecasting inputs.
Assist in processing end-to-end payments and invoicing processes for the firm's strategic A/P software.
Prepare analysis related to company profit and loss statements and changes in accounts.
Month End Close:
Calculate and consolidate P&L data to prepare and book journal entries for operating expenses and accruals.
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare journal entries for various legal entities.
Assist with the maintenance of all financial records and accounting files.
Prepare various non-cash amortization and depreciation entries, among others.
Cash Reconciliation:
Reconcile cash inflows and outflows between the firm's bank accounts and general ledger.
Prepare monthly cash reconciliations.
Other Projects:
Identify and remediate process gaps and implementing effective internal controls; improve documentation of internal control processes.
Assist in completing special projects as needed such as implementation of new invoicing and vendor software and financial planning and analysis tools.
Work on new, challenging assignments on a spontaneous basis.
Coordinate across multiple departments to complete assignments that require collaboration, including providing financial data for any forms or filings needed to be completed organization-wide
QUALIFICATIONS
3-5 years of corporate accounting/audit experience within the financial services industry
Understanding of GAAP reporting
Familiar with Oracle NetSuite and/or General Ledger systems preferred
Experience with Coupa or similar A/P system preferred
Knowledge of booking journal entries
Fund accounting experience preferred
Degree in Accounting required
CPA license (achieved or actively pursuing) preferred
Proficient with Excel and Power Point
Able to manage large sets of data and be able to implement checks and balances
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Detailed oriented with big picture capability
BENEFITS
The base salary range for this role is $85,000 to $105,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
