    Position Summary:

    The Human Resources Intern will provide administrative support to the Human Resources Director, the HR staff, as well as other departments within the corporate office as needed. The HR Intern will directly assist the HR team with various projects relating to HR. This will provide the HR Intern with exposure to areas of HR including Compensation, Benefits, Recruitment, and Training. In this position the HR Intern will learn how to take the skills he or she may have acquired in school and apply them in a profession setting. Overall the HR Intern will gain a better understanding of the role that Human Resources can play in a company and be better prepared for work in the field of Human Resources or business management. This individual must have strong organizational skills as well as the ability to efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.

    Essential Job Functions:

    Specific tasks will include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Provide administrative support to the HR team.
    • Assist with day to day HR department functions and projects.
    • Gain a better understanding of the role HR plays in a company.
    • Perform daily administrative support to the Department Manager and staff.
    • Research and collect data for various initiatives.
    • Assist with employee reference checks as needed.
    • Assist other HR team members as needed with recruiting, on-boarding, etc.
    • Assist with updating and organizing HR files, digital and paper files.
    • Assist the Human Resources Director and HR staff with various research projects and/or special projects.
    • Create and send out new employee welcome emails.
    • Answer and transfer/route incoming calls from a multi-line PBX system.
    • Perform inventory of all office supplies on a weekly basis.
    • Re-stock the company supply room as needed.
    • Stock office items throughout the corporate office daily.
    • Track/sort all incoming packages and mail.
    • Assist with new hire orientation and Branch Manager training.
    • Create invoices as needed.

    The Intern (Human Resources) is expected to maintain satisfactory attendance and report to work on time every day. Additional tasks as assigned.

    Required Job Functions:

    Specific tasks will include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Assist executive team members with research and/or special projects as needed.
    • Assist with charity initiatives, company events and meetings.
    • Assist with ordering food and coordinating meetings and company events.
    • This position may require occasional overtime and travel.
    • Additional tasks as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Must be currently pursing a bachelors degree with at least one academic term remaining following an internship or recently completed bachelors degree (May 2020 - December 2021)
    • Available to work during normal business hours staring in Spring 2022
    • Strong written and verbal communication
