    Job Purpose

    The Corporate Philanthropy Intern’s primary responsibility is to assist with Jackson’s Corporate Philanthropy program, which directs corporate donations and volunteer efforts into the local community. Working as part of the Corporate Communications and Responsibility department, the intern will also gain experience with Jackson’s internal communications, external communications and social media teams. Other departmental duties may also include copywriting, event photography, graphic design and creating presentations.

    Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

    • Assists with company sponsored special events.
    • Assists with fundraisers and donation drives.
    • Coordinates volunteer projects.
    • Writes and edits articles for the company’s intranet.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Solid technical writing skills
    • Must have reliable transportation

    Education and Experience Required

    • High School diploma or equivalent required.
    • Enrollment in an associate, bachelor’s or master's degree program required.
    • Previous internship/work experience required.
    • Previous volunteer experience required.
    • Experience with event planning required.
    • Fundraising experience preferred.
    • Experience with social media and graphic design preferred.
    • Completion of courses in Journalism, English, Communications or Nonprofit Management preferred.
