Job Description
International Subsidiary Banking (ISB) is CMB’s international proposition which aims to provide banking coverage to the subsidiaries of Commercial Banking (CMB) customers within the Large Corporate and Mid- Market Enterprise segments. The ISB strategy is to provide consistent, in-depth and dedicated coverage across the HSBC network with the end goal to deepen our relationship with our customers. The ISB business is a significant contributor of revenue to CMB and consists of a network of dedicated bankers across more than 40 countries.
The International Banking team Banking (IBT) is a team within ISB that manages a portfolio of ISB customers, with accountability for sales, service, risk and operational delivery. These clients have varying needs from basic client servicing to more complex multi-product needs.
You will be responsible for:
Proactively grow international and cross border revenue from the existing customer portfolio and through targeted acquisition of new quality customers
Work collaboratively with other Global Businesses, Product and Service Partners to identify opportunities to connect customers to opportunities and strengthen the relationship
Develop effective strategies to manage customer relationships, anticipate customer needs and provide a superior quality service to position HSBC as the market leader in this segment
Establish an effective working relationship with Risk in order to validate the accuracy of the customer risk profile, and ensure sustainable asset growth
Requirements
Employment eligibility to work with HSBC in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
Minimum of three years proven and progressive commercial lending/ Credit training or equivalent experience.
Fluency in Spanish required
Well-developed credit, planning, negotiations, communications, sales, analytical and organizational skills / proven ability to build personal relationships with current and potential clients.
