ROLE OVERVIEW The Financial Analyst Intern will collaborate to advance a state-of-the-art analytic platform, positioning Cortland for a future state of continuous global growth and market entry, and in which data science and analytics spearhead data-driven strategy across all company verticals and platforms. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop, conduct and coordinate analyses, reports and presentations to facilitate making important financial decisions Assist with development, maintenance, and quality assurance of accounting database and integrations Develop accounting analytics ecosystem and financial strategy tools Utilize Python, SQL, and BI tools for process automation and reporting centralization Leverage data science and analytics to identify opportunities within the accounting process PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Pursuing degree in a quantitative or financial discipline GPA 3.5 or higher Proficiency in financial modeling, accounting, and statistics Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint Expertise with Git, SQL, and Python Knowledge of Tensorflow, xlwings, and the Python scientific stack is a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills THE CORTLAND DIFFERENCE At Cortland, we create, reimagine, and manage apartment communities for residents nationwide.
