    As our Credit Advisor you’ll be the go-to expert on all credit and risk based products with emphasis and support to Private Banking relationship managers and business heads. You’ll be responsible for identifying, structuring, negotiating, and underwriting new credit opportunities. Every day, you’ll build trust with clients and your team in these interactions by learning new concepts and researching information in real-time to provide creative solutions. To thrive in this job, you need experience in risk and portfolio management with credit products. You should also be familiar with a credit analysis, relationship building and Microsoft Office.

    Here’s what you can expect:

    As the Credit Advisor you will be attending meetings with global stakeholders to build trust and enable efficient communication across time zones as you help them make important financial decisions. You will apply your research and evaluations from a wide variety of sources to develop an assessment of client, competitor and industry risks and trends. You’ll work with your team to dig into the details and look at problems from every perspective. You must know how to pull together products, partners and stakeholders to support one decision. Troubleshooting. Scenarios range in complexity and you’ll need to adapt to one-of a kind challenges, everyday scenarios, and geopolitical issues.

    For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $125,000 and $150,000.

    The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

    Requirements

    Employment eligibility to work with HSBC in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.

    • 5-10 years of experience and proven success in area of risk and portfolio management with credit products including some or all of the following:

      • Marketable securities

      • Single stock

      • Unsecured

      • Commercial Real Estate

      • Residential mortgages

      • Hedge Funds

      • Lending against Private Equity LP Interest

      • Private Equity Capital Call Financing

      • Life Insurance Premium Financing

      • Aircraft Financing

      • Yacht Financing

      • Management Fee Line

      • Art

      • Music Rights Financing

    • Underwriting experience from start to finish that includes the following:

      • Spread personal financial statements

      • Cash flow analysis

      • Collateral analysis

    • Experience creating credit memos that discusses the following:

      • Transaction summary

      • Structure of loan

      • Covenants

      • Collateral

      • Financials spreads

      • Risk and mitigates

      • Strength and weakness

      • Documentation

      • Recommendation
