  • Responsibilities

    The Credit Bureau Operations Furnishing Lead supports the credit reporting/monitoring of auto loan information to the nationwide consumer reporting agencies (CRA). This role will support Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) compliance, and in addition to the monitoring, engage in project management of updates impacting credit reporting. This position is also responsible for issue tracking, managing through a backlog of current gaps and/or control breakages and ensuring proper closure of issues.

    WHAT IS A DAY IN THE LIFE AT FLAGSHIP AS A CREDIT BUREAU OPERATIONS FURNISHING LEAD?

    • Provides direct oversight and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory issues related to credit reporting for the Company.

    • Monitoring Metro2 data furnishing format from SHAW platform

    • Testing of file layout to ensure the desired reporting

    • Responsible for data clean up as required compiling data into Metro2

    • Monitoring, testing, and executing monthly quality reviews during the initial months of reporting

    • Identifying areas for improvement with leadership and consultation with 3rd party provider

    • Building and maintaining good relationships with multiple operating groups, including Collections, Credit, Fraud, Customer Delivery, Technology, Customer Experience, Legal etc.

    • Documenting processes of the multiple operating groups and how those processes will impact reporting

    • Reviewing processes and output that drive reporting, recognizing the drivers, testing their effectiveness and recommending change when they are not effective

    • Other related duties as assigned

    ABOUT YOU:

    • Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

    • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent work-related experience

    • Required: Five or more years of credit bureau reporting experience in a bank or financial institution, direct experience interfacing with credit reporting agencies.

    • Preferred: Minimum 5 years of experience performing business analysis and/or process design and analysis

    • Working knowledge of the auto finance industry, Metro2 Reporting and Consumer Data Industry Association (CDIA) regulations and industry compliance.

    • Advanced knowledge and understanding of e-Oscar dispute processing.

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to effectively interact with all levels within the organization and the ability to create and summarize detailed written reports.

    • Strong interpersonal, listening and interviewing skills with the ability to confront and address sensitive topics while maintaining a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality, diplomacy, and tact.

    • Strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills.

    • Self-starter possessing the ability to work independently while supporting a team environment.

    • Demonstrate sound business judgment in applying proper policies, procedures and guidelines.

    • Strong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy with the ability to objectively identify, assess, resolve, and mitigate risk.

    • Fluent with Microsoft Office suite of products
