    JOB DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Credit Risk Analytics, the incumbent will have or will shortly develop an in-depth specialization in one of the two core competencies of the Group: 1) Credit Risk Portfolio Reporting/Analytics and/or 2) Credit Risk Model Development and Review.

This role is situated in the intersection of Credit and Portfolio Risk, Data Science, Economics, Finance and Capital Planning. A major goal of the Group is to develop credit loss forecasts in the context of Bank stress testing and capital planning.

Key examples of roles and deliverables are:

    • Execute credit loss forecasting models and contribute significantly to the interpretation of results. Utilizing knowledge on economic and market drivers of credit risk.

    • While not a formal model development role, contribute to the continual enhancement of existing models in concert with the Model Development Group. This could take the form of a business analyst.

    • Compose drafts of supporting documentation that will make up the formal stress test submission. Develop and maintain effective graphical views of analytical relationships.

    • Contribute to the development of project plans, in concert with the Director, for important mechanical components of the credit risk stress testing process. And then deliver high quality results per the milestones in that plan.

    • Execute ad-hoc tasks usually at the request of senior staff on topics such as the risk-reward characteristics of the loan portfolios, MIS initiatives and a range of other subjects in the credit space.

The Credit Risk Stress Testing group requires incumbents to drive for execution of significant deliverables of major import to the Bank sometimes under tight deadline pressure and yet in a highly collaborative setting. The incumbent will be required to communicate effectively with colleagues within the Group and other functional areas.

The candidate could represent the Group in periodic workgroup meetings that are focused on mechanics and communicate well with a wide range of participants including, on occasion, senior officers. The role requires the execution of cross-disciplinary work across functional areas that facilitates the completion of credit risk stress testing.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science or related preferred.

    • Demonstrated experience in the Credit Risk space preferably in Stress Testing.

    • Demonstrate proficiency in a variety of programs including but not limited to: MS Excel, MS Access, MS Visio and/or Other Stat/Math Programs such as R or Python.

    BASE PAY:

    $94,638.00 - $153,787.00

Actual starting base pay will be determined on skills, experience, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other perks, as outlined in any formal offer made.
