    Description: The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for accurately compiling and processing various payroll transactions for the assigned payroll group(s). These duties include but are not limited to inputting and verifying data from timesheets, salary changes and bonuses, as well journal entries and tax reconciliations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Process all new hires, changes and terminations for a multi-state payroll input into ADP WFN. Assists in preparing payroll payments (checks, pay cards, direct deposits) Compile and input payroll data such as hours worked, time away, taxes, insurance, garnishments, and other pertinent withholdings. Validate wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of payroll Verifies that all employee personal and work related changes such as promotions and terminations are accurately processed. Answers employee inquiries regarding payroll matters. Contact various department supervisors and employees for any missed times or information. Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports. Process all child support orders, wage attachments and garnishment. Responds to all verification of employment related to garnishments in timely manner. Send out termination letter to all garnishment creditor or child support agency to notify them of employee new terminated status. Performs other incidental and related duties as required Process journal entries pertaining to payroll. Prepare account analysis for month end: 401k, garnishments, flexible spending benefits; deposit exchange; accrued payroll & taxes. Handle all mailings and correspondence for the payroll department. Assist other Payroll Specialist as needed with daily entries including but not limited to taxation for new hire, new direct deposit information, address updates and other administrative duties as assigned. Backup to Payroll Specialist. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or 3-5 years of payroll processing experience accepted ADP experience preferred Knowledge of Microsoft Office application and automated payroll processing services EZLabor and/or Kronos experience a plus Must possess a keen sense of confidentiality and discretion Excellent communication, customer service organizational, and problem-solving skills required Basic knowledge of payroll laws and regulations Ability to complete tasks without direct supervision
