    Job description

As a Product Manager on Cross-Border Cross-Currency Payments, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and manages the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for utilizing your deep understanding of cross-border payments solutions, applying analytical approaches to devise strategies and tactical solutions, driving sales enablement, and partnering with execution teams to deliver our strategic initiatives and innovations.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Perform market research to understand the client needs and requirements for product improvements
    • Support the development of strategic product roadmaps and the positioning of our products
    • Conduct comprehensive pricing and product analysis to evaluate market and industry trends, competitor pricing strategies, client behaviors and product opportunities
    • Leverage data, gather feedback and synthesize information to make product enhancement recommendations
    • Build and present end to end executive product updates inclusive of current product metrics, financial forecasting, and delivery updates
    • Provide marketing, product packaging and product support to local and cross-border sales and service organizations
    • Take ownership of day-to-day product management and delivery, as well as maintain relationships across multiple levels of the organization
    • Collaborate to resolve challenges, respond to stakeholders, and escalate to the management team as appropriate
    • Partner with execution teams in planning, managing and leading high-visibility product initiatives in a highly matrixed work environment
    • Advise sales, stakeholders and clients on best possible solutions

    For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $68,900.00 and $103,300.00.

    The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

    Requirements

    • A minimum of 2 years of experience from a tier 1 bank, a premier management consulting firm, or a payments firm (e.g., in strategy, product management, sales, product development), a technology start-up (e.g. in product management, strategy, product development), a top non-bank financial institution (e.g. insurance, asset management, investment), or an investment banking division that preferably covers financial services sector
    • Strong interest in payments required
    • Ability to work and think independently with strong initiative
    • Diverse problem solving experience
    • Outstanding ability to analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, and communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written)
    • Strategic mindset with deep intellectual curiosity Interest
    • Demonstrates flexibility, teamwork, and ability to work in a fast-moving environment. Must be detail oriented.
    • Excellent and efficient skills using MS Excel and PowerPoint tools
