    Summary

    The Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL) Data Analyst will be central to our credit risk functions, leveraging data and analytics to shape our decision-making and risk mitigation strategies. This role will engage deeply with vendor models and conduct comprehensive data exercises to extract valuable insights that inform our business strategies.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Administer and manage data requirements for our credit risk vendor models.
    • Conduct rigorous data exercises to extract insights that drive data-driven business decisions.
    • Continually monitor data integrity and quality, identify and report concerns, and propose improvements.
    • Develop and present data visualizations to communicate risk analysis to stakeholders.
    • Design data cleaning and reporting processes to uphold data accuracy and reliability.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide relevant, actionable insights.

    Qualifications

    • Exposure to data visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBI.
    • Working knowledge of data collection (i.e., gathering, sorting, cleaning, and analyzing data from various sources).
    • Working knowledge of programming languages.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
    • Solid understanding of data cleaning and data quality control techniques.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
    • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience required.
    • No experience required. 1+ years' experience in finance or related field preferred.

    Systems & Technology

    • Knowledge of T-SQL on Microsoft SQL Server.
    • Familiarity with programming languages.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
