    Job description:

Upon resumption of normal operations, this role may be performed at our New York, New York office.

    The Customer Insights team is part of the Marketing function, which focuses on implementing Brand & Marketing strategies, campaigns and activities. As Customer Insights, we help the wider Marketing team ground these initiatives in customer insights across both B2B and B2C sides of our business.

    We collaborate with our Marketing colleagues in Campaigns, Brand, Digital engagement, etc, to help make their initiatives stronger through research and testing. We also partner with Business stakeholders across Customer Experience, COO, Digital and product teams, to weave market knowledge and customer needs into their initiatives - from product development and communications, to our digital investment agenda.

    At the heart of what we do - we identify, generate, collate and analyze sources of customer insight - translating them into actionable recommendations that will impact business decisions. In this role you will be empowered to champion the voice of the customer with insights that will reduce customer dissatisfaction, increase engagement and loyalty, reduce cost and/or increase revenue.

    Requirements:

    Employment eligibility to work with HSBC in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.

    THE RIGHT CANDIDATE FOR THIS ROLE WILL HAVE:

    • An analytical and curious mind

    • Ability to tell compelling stories that encourage stakeholders at all levels to take action

    • An interest in human motivations, attitudes, behavioral drivers and the impact of cultural differences

    • Strong project planning and project management skills

    • An ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

    • Ability to navigate a large organization in order to deliver priorities and solve problems

    • Customer insight, analytical or statistical experience with ability to initiate and use market and customer insight strategically in order to drive change

    BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE:

    • Experience in market research and/or customer experience/user design

    • Experience analyzing data sets and/or statistical experience

    • Experience with survey platforms and research tools, as well as designing questionnaires and research projects

    • Experience with a Financial Services institution beneficial but not required

    • Experience or knowledge of design thinking and agile practices preferred

    • Data visualization skills beneficial but not required
