    Jackson's Strategic Support Program (SSP) is a talent pipeline, providing on-demand staffing to various departments and teams within our organization. In this part time role as a Data Analytics and Engineering Strategic Support Associate (SSA), you'll join our diverse population of associates, performing critical daily business functions which support our enterprise technology strategy. As a Data Analytics and Engineering SSA you will build and support the Enterprise Data Platform infrastructure in Azure cloud environment, prepare data for business unit's analytics requirements, and develop reporting dashboards using BI (Business Intelligence) tools.

    The Data Analytics and Engineering team partners with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and follow best practices to develop data sources and reports. Dashboards are designed according to the desired user experience and reports are verified using test data. Changes are made through a collaborative process and the team transforms on-premises datasets into the cloud environment to supply various data-related services to other applications.

    What You'll Do

    • Learn on the job using operating procedures, training documentation and Jackson approved technical standards.

    • Discover your strengths for delivering on business value.

    • Develop reports and dashboards and connects them to enterprise data sources using BI tools such as Power BI.

    • Collaborate with stakeholders through an iterative process to translate requirements into simple mockups.

    • Apply the company’s security and governance processes for data controls.

    • Practice data engineering methodologies.

    • Support business processes centered around excellent service delivery.

    • Partner with architects and other team members to support clear communication and effective collaboration.

    • Receive training and mentorship from senior team members to support your technical skill development.

    We are looking for individuals who:

    • Demonstrate an interest to learn new technologies such as Power BI, Azure data platform, etc.

    • Work well independently and within a team.

    • Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.

    • Display problem-solving skills.

    • Organize work efficiently and prioritize tasks.

    • Exhibit good time management skills.

    Hours/Availability Requirements

    • Shifts offered from 6:30 AM - 8:00 PM, Monday-Friday and 6:30 AM - 1:00 PM Saturday. Availability between 8:00 AM-6:00 PM strongly preferred.

    • Minimum requirement of 18 hours per week, maximum of 29.

    • Duration of individual shift segments must be a minimum of two hours.

    • Self-driven schedules based on your unique availability, with changes allowed up to 24 hours in advance.

    Education Background/Technical Requirements

    • H.S. Diploma required.

    • Current undergraduate student that is pursuing a four-year degree in Computer Science or related technical field, with a 3.0 minimum GPA.

    • Knowledge and hands-on experience with one or more modern programming language preferred.

    • Knowledge of database technologies is preferred (e.g., Relational Databases, SQL, etc.) preferred.

    • Ability to interpret and analyze technical processes and business procedures preferred.
