At HSBC, the Wholesale Data & Analytics team is part of the Wholesale COO team a key driver in building the bank of the future by streamlining operations, transforming legacy processes and commercializing insights into actionable outcomes. Our team operates in a dynamic setting solving critical business problems and reimagining how we view our operations via a data driven lens. We are passionate about delivering business value through our data change initiatives. We are looking for a hands on data change delivery manager who is passionate about two things - Delivery and Data Analysis.
The things we care about are:
Demonstrable program management experience with delivering a portfolio of data remediation and change initiatives covering all aspects of data change (analysis, exception reporting, operations, tracking and reporting)
Demonstrable experience in data analysis and delivering business value through data initiatives
Operator understanding of data management through data lifecycle (Storage, Movement, Usage)
Ability to perform cost/ benefit analysis for data issues. Ability to communicate cost/ benefit analysis with decision makers and agree on prioritization
Ability to switch contexts and be able to operate and different levels of details depending on the problem and audience.
Passion for sharing knowledge to train and develop colleagues to become citizen data managers
Experienced at running technical problem solving session with data, IT and operations teams. Experienced at presenting in steering sessions with senior stakeholders across business, data, technology, risk and audit teams.
Expected Outcomes in 6 months:
Take ownership of the existing Data change initiatives and programs
Establish a framework for intake and management of new data change initiatives
Define and deliver data change delivery and reporting framework
Setup a concierge/advisory service for resolution of prioritized Data issues
Requirements
Employment eligibility to work with HSBC in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
About you
Bachelor's degree or higher in STEM or Business
Minimum of 3 years of experience in delivery/ program management
Minimum of 5 years of hands on experience in data analysis
Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate complex data issues in layman terms to non-technical stakeholder
