Data Client Services Internship - Year Round
CME Group is currently looking for a 2026 Data Client Services Intern. This candidate will assist the Data Client Services team on day-to-day activities in support of market data licensing and client support operations. The intern will participate in process documentation, data integrity audits within Salesforce, and support the onboarding lifecycle for market data clients. This role involves a mix of administrative support, internal process enhancement, and basic troubleshooting of customer-facing tools and offers an opportunity to develop customer success expertise.
Principal Accountabilities:
Onboarding Assistance: Support the team in processing market data licensing documents and facilitating client access to customer portals
**Data & Communication Management: **Use Salesforce to ensure accurate audit trails for support-related communications and maintain up-to-date client profile information
Process Documentation: Contribute to the enrichment of the customer support knowledge library by documenting team processes, FAQs, and best practices
Operational Support: Assist with the initial review of market data inquiries and help reassign out-of-scope requests to the appropriate internal teams to prevent delays
User Experience Support: Help identify common client issues and work with senior team members to substantiate enhancement ideas with reporting from Salesforce
Skills / Software Requirements:
Communication: Excellent communication and questioning skills, including active listening and the ability to exchange insights clearly and respectfully
Adaptability: Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment and learn to manage conflicting priorities while switching tasks seamlessly
Analytical Thinking: Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and a desire to learn how to investigate and troubleshoot non-standard issues
Technical Proficiency: Adeptness at learning new technologies; familiarity with Google suite tools is required, and exposure to CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) or BI tools (e.g., Tableau) is preferred
Foundational Knowledge: Interest in or working knowledge of market data delivery mechanisms, such as APIs and cloud-based platforms
Education:
Currently pursuing a BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field
GPA: Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred
Location:
Candidates must be local to Chicago and able to work on hybrid schedule

Actual pay offered will be dependent on a wide array of factors including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills, education, location of the internship, and the internship area of focus.
