JOB OVERVIEW:

This is an Engineer position responsible for the automating and transforming the software engineering/certification process. The engineer will be responsible for delivery of a simplified, standardized and automate the tools certification process/framework that has security/vulnerability assessment scanning, package ingestion/customization baked in to aid agile developer tools releases

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as a technology subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders and provide direction for all firm mandated controls and compliance initiatives, all projects within the group and in creating a technology domain roadmap

• Define a holistic architecture for the deployment of RDBMS products - Oracle, SQL SERVER, MONGO, PostgreSQL

• Define technology strategies and standards on product selection and product exit

• Review and manage SDLC process controls for all Oracle automation projects

• Liaise with Operational DBA teams to ensure that engineered and automated solutions are tested by operations and sufficiently trained for providing L3/L2 support.

• Develop and/or coordinate tools and process integration for Oracle products

• Ensure that all integration of functions meet business goals

• Define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process enhancements

• Identify problem causality, business impact and root causes

• Exhibit knowledge of how own specialty area contributes to the business and apply knowledge of competitors, products and services

• Collaborate with private Oracle cloud team to introduce new Oracle features and capabilities

• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years of experience in following areas:

• Architectural design of applications to leverage Oracle products for appropriate use cases

• Experience working with RDBMS database products (Oracle, MS SQL, MONGO, PostgreSQL) from installation to testing and development

• Project Management experience

• Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices

• Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills

• Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams

• Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Around 5+ years of experience in following skills:

• Working knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager, SolarWinds, SCOM, Guardium, AppDynamics

• Experience in developing reference architectures, coordinating deployments of Oracle features

• Experience in working on unix/linux operating system

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

• RDBMS + NoSQL + Graph troubleshooting and development

• Knowledge of agile SCRUM practices, JIRA

COMPETENCIES:

• Possesses good verbal and written communication skills.

• Demonstrates self-motivation and problem-solving skills

• Capable and willing to work independently as well as in cross-functional and cross-location teams

• Ability to provide presentations to Management and large audiences

• Capable of defining cost models and optimizing technology spend and licensing

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience
