Our Corporate office is in Olathe, KS. * Our current employee base is 2,500 with additional growth expectations! * We have both union and nonunion payrolls * We have a National Accounts division, so we do business in all 50 states and have offices in 20 states Join our very stable HR Department and experience firsthand: * The benefit of working for the Sr. VP of HR who has led and expanded our HR Team over the last 20 years * Directly team with 2 payroll associates who have handled payroll at Pace for over 10 years each * Earn competitive compensation with a comprehensive total benefits package including a corporate wellness program and a paid time off plan (PTO) where already your 2nd year you will accrue 16 days of PTO * Work business hours Monday through Friday Position Overview: * Review of the weekly or biweekly payroll time data, employee maintenance, tax information, direct deposit, new hire and terminated employee processing * Maintain accurate employee data in Ultipro HRIS system * Coordinate with Department Supervisors/Managers to ensure timely and accurate reporting of hours to be paid * Ensure timely and accurate processing of employee garnishments, ensuring proper withholding and remittance to appropriate agencies * Prepare and issue manual checks and same day wire transfers as required * Prepare required monthly, quarterly and annual reports including, 401(k) reconciliations, and tax reconciliation * Work as a member of crossfunctional team on projects related to system upgrades for Ultipro and ADP * Write and run reports as required using Ultipro Reporting * Strong understanding of Federal and State laws as they relate to both income tax withholding and labor regulations  Minimum Qualifications: * Minimum one (1) year of work experience in an Accounting/Finance or Human Resources Department working with payroll and/or related numerical data that required a high degree of attention to detail * Multistate payroll experience is a plus, but not required. * Experience with Utipro, ADP, Ceridian and/or other related payroll systems preferred * Prior experience with implementation of new software, including the testing phase, would be a plus, but not required * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal * Ability to respect, protect and maintain highly confidential information * Ability to work independently with little supervision; however, will have tenured staff to rely on as you become familiar with our systems and learn how to process our various payrolls Preferred Education: * Bachelor or Associate Degree in Accounting or Business related field, or equivalent payroll department experience * CPP certification preferred Learn about our national organization: dhpace.com and follow us on LinkedIn. #PaceCB Company: DH Pace Company, Inc.
