    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Enterprise Technology Services organization partners with every part of the American Express business to power the company’s growth and innovation with trust and efficiency and drive competitive differentiation with speed. We support the delivery and operations of technology, digital, and data capabilities, platforms, and services globally. Specifically, our team is responsible for the company’s technology engineering, architecture, and infrastructure, providing 24x7 support to ensure uninterrupted, high-quality experiences for customers and colleagues. We also provide product management for core enterprise platforms, and lead technology risk and information security, enterprise data governance and platforms, digital product and design, and enterprise AI platforms on behalf of the company.

    A core part of this mission is owning and evolving our end-to-end acquisition journeys from discovery and shopping through application and approval, with a focus on continuously improving conversion, usability and customer experience, all powered by modern, flexible platforms and scalable capabilities.

    In parallel, we are building industry-leading performance marketing capabilities that power scalable, data-driven customer acquisition across paid and owned channels. This includes advancing our marketing technology, optimization strategies, and measurement frameworks, as well as developing platforms and tools that enable how acquisition is executed, measured and optimized across the enterprise.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    How will you make an impact in this role?

    • Drive strategic planning analytical support for core business and operating initiatives, including the annual Strategy Plan, Financial Plan, Investment Plan, and Business Unit Reviews.
    • Act as a strategic partner to the SVP, driving alignment across a complex, global, and highly cross-functional organization with a strong focus on digital product innovation and growth.
    • Shape and support high-impact executive communications, strategy presentations, and progress reviews, translating complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives for senior leaders and stakeholders.
    • Lead EAPP-wide process for critical operating activities such as annual goal setting, development planning and reviews, talent assessment, annual performance reviews (PMP), financial budgeting, and organizational reviews.
    • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to align on priorities, roadmaps, and performance outcomes, bringing a strong understanding of customer-centric digital experiences, platforms and performance marketing.
    • Orchestrate cross-functional initiatives by working across key business partners in Finance, Portfolio Management, Marketing, Design, Engineering, Colleague Experience Group, Corporate Affairs & Communications, Real Estate, and other functions to advance critical initiatives.
    • Play an integral role in enhancing organizational effectiveness, including colleague engagement, internal communications, and change management efforts.
    • Lead planning and execution of key leadership forums, including domestic and international market visits & reviews, EAPP-wide events, and Leadership Team meetings.
    • Coordinate with Enterprise Digital and Enterprise Technology Services Executive Offices, as well as the EAPP Leadership Team, on key deliverables and strategic initiatives.
    • Champion the exploration and adoption of AI and emerging technologies by identifying, piloting, and scaling high-impact use cases that enhance decision-making, productivity, and customer outcomes.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred.

    • 5+ years' product/program management experience.
    • Management consulting experience preferred.
    • Strong business acumen with the ability to make sound, independent decisions and drive measurable results; Intellectual curiosity and ability to learn quickly.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop holistic strategies and translate them into clear, actionable initiatives.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to structure compelling narratives, storyboard executive presentations, and deliver clear, persuasive messaging.
    • Distinguished executive presence with the ability to engage and influence senior leaders and stakeholders.
    • Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills; able to work cross-functionally and influence across a wide range of partners without direct authority.
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented; able to prioritize effectively, manage expectations, and manage multiple deliverables in parallel.
    • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities while building structure and processes with limited oversight.
    • Familiarity with digital product management, platform-based business models, and performance marketing; ability to engage meaningfully with Product, Engineering, and Growth teams.
    • Deep interest in AI and emerging technologies, with a proactive approach to embedding AI tools, workflows, and best practices into day-to-day operations.
    • Positive, resilient mindset with a strong will to win and a bias for action.
    • High degree of professionalism, maturity, integrity, and discretion; ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
