Summary: The Claims Specialist should be a highly motivated team player with good communication (written and oral) and organizational skills, the ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment and excellent interpersonal skills with talent to converse with people at all levels. The candidate will also be detailed oriented, with data entry skills. This individual will accurately process claims in accordance with the claims processing system and other department guidelines; investigate and resolve claim concerns, reversing and reprocessing claims as necessary; determine liability as it relates to COB claims; and review provider and/or member status to determine eligibility, participation, primacy, and correct reimbursement level, which may include re-pricing.
