Church Mutual's Internship program runs the day after Memorial Day - Tuesday, May 26th, through mid August, when students return to school. During the 12-week internship, the CM Vantage Underwriting Intern will gain critical experience in underwriting, processing, and insurance concepts, as well as issuing commercial excess and surplus lines property and casualty accounts. Interns will work with various units throughout the underwriting department to achieve production and retention goals. This intern will learn the entire commercial underwriting experience from account entry to policy issuance and relationship building. General understanding of programming, database design and development, data sources and data feeds used to populate reports. • Experience with executing all forms of testing (Regression, Functional, Stress, and Negative) with knowledge of software testing SDLC practices and quality assurance techniques. • Provide basic development and support needs for business applications using Microsoft Office products and other vendor specific tools • Working knowledge of client server concepts and familiarity with various technologies used within the TS areas and the IT industry. • Ability to work independently and as a team member, while using discretion in decision making and sound judgment in problem solving. • Focus on customer service. • Motivated to learn new business and technical concepts.
