As a member of our HORIZON LIMS Cloud Team, the Application Support Specialist will collaborate closely with the Cloud Team as well as Professional Services and Development Teams to ensure our customers are successful with their use of the HORIZON LIMS product to automate their high-complexity testing laboratories. This individual to serve as a LIMS Admin across our cloud customer base and resolve support inquiries. ... You will be working on a diverse portfolio of projects related to the LIMS application. Your assignments will range vary in size and scope, from small customizations to large implementations and work on a diverse team of technical professionals from PMs to Developers, to both internal and client team members, encompassing leadership to facilitation. The primary function and responsibility are to help our customers achieve success through the use of our LIMS Product.

POSITION SUCCESS FACTORS:

• Deliver stellar customer support and assist customers with workflow enhancements utilizing a broad range of skills
• Able to answer basic HORIZON LIMS questions within the first three months of employment
• Can create LIMS configuration changes within the first six months of employment
• Ability to assist with advanced LIMS implementations tasks within the first nine months of employment

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• HORIZON system configuration
• Laboratory operations business analysis
• PL/SQL development
• Custom report development
• Instrument parser development

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Knowledge of how a laboratory works and runs
• Basic understanding of what a LIMS is and how laboratories use one
• Ability to communicate both technical and non-technical information effectively
• Experience utilizing help desk software, with basic database concepts, and/or SQL or other programming knowledge is a plus
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to actualize theory
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships
