    Pay: up to $30 per hour

    Shift: 1st Shift (6a-4:30pm) Monday-Thursday

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    Enprotech is in need of an Electrician at its Lansing, MI facility.  This role requires the skilled installation and assembly of electrical systems used on new and remanufactured metal forming equipment.   Additional tasks include the disassembly, repair, and assembly of unique subassemblies or complete electrical systems on equipment, both internal to Enprotech facility operations and with customer equipment.  Applicants interested in this position shall:

    • Ensure work in completed in a safe manner, wearing required PPE at all times
    • Assemble, repair, and build electrical equipment from component parts in accordance with engineering schematics, standard operating procedures, to customer’s specifications
    • Read, interpret and follow engineering schematics/blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
    • Plan and install rigid conduit, wiring, hook-up disconnects, switches, push buttons, circuit panels, breakers, suppressors, transformers, and wire terminations
    • Install, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair various electrical components and systems including 480/120VAC and 24VDC voltage automation systems and motor control circuits
    • Operate cranes, forklifts and/or scissor lifts as required
    • Maintain and troubleshoot PLC sensors
    • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical problems on plant facility equipment
    • Assist in general facility construction duties as needed
    • Assist in maintenance and/or general company duties as required
    • Safely and properly use electrical testing equipment

    ABOUT YOU – KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES TO:

    EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Technical training, and certifications a plus
    • Working knowledge of electrical standards such as NFPA 79, NEC, UL5

    EXPERIENCE

    • 5+ years minimum of skilled trades or like experience with mechanical stamping presses or other heavy industrial machinery preferred
    • Machine control panel building a plus
    • Have experience and knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures
    • Troubleshoot machines to diagnose electrical issues including motor controls, sensors, relays and PLCs.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of basic electrical codes including knowledge of pulling wire, electrical components, switches, high voltage, and control centers
    • Read and interpret schematics, plans, and operating manuals
    • Work both in a team environment and independently
    • Cross-departmentally work with maintenance and other manufacturing personnel during the construction of machines and equipment to ensure quality
    • Work with industrial controllers, motors, transducers, and sensors in an industrial metal forming environment

    OTHER QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

    • Must be able to work overtime and weekends as workload dictates
    • Must be able to verbally communicate with team members, supervisors, and Engineers
    • Requires a minimum of four years' experience in an industrial setting. Journeyman license preferred, but not required
    • Must have experience running and bending rigid conduit (up to at least 3 inches)
    • Must have knowledge of three-phase motors
    • Experience with machine control circuits required
    • Allen Bradley PLC experience is preferred (Installation & troubleshooting)
    • Excellent mechanical skills required
    • Some overnight travel required.  Approximately 10-15%, as needed and scheduled
    • Must possess a strong attention to detail
    • Must have valid driver’s license, and able to operate industrial lifts
    • Ability to see and hear industrial equipment as it moves around the jobsite
    • Must be willing to help the jobsite team in the following areas: mechanical, lubrication, rigging
    • Experience with, welding, pipefitting, basic fabricating is preferred
    • Applicant shall be self-motivated, have a positive attitude, be energetic, punctual, hard-working, and eager to work for a stable organization
    • This position is a safety sensitive position and will require pre-employment and regular drug testing
