    18:PAR-092: Policy & Communications Intern Company Enterprise Community Partners Department New York Market Location New York, NY Job Summary The Policy intern will support the continued expansion of the New York markets policy portfolio and will provide valuable research, writing, and communications capacity to the team. *This is a paid internship. $15/hr for undergrads, $20 for grad students Duration: January 2019-August 2019 with possibility to extend. Must be able to work 3 days/12-20 hours per week. Please provide cover letter Job Responsibilities Specific responsibilities include: * Conducting research on emerging issues in housing policy and community development potentially including, but not limited to: Fair Housing, Source of Income, Opportunity Zones, the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Rural Housing and Racial Equity * Supporting the next phase of the Regional Affordable and Fair Housing Roundtable * Supporting the campaign needs of the Statewide Source of Income Coalition * Supporting relationship-building meetings with public officials and partners * Attending and reporting on external events with senior policy staff Qualifications * Undergraduate or graduate degree * Demonstrated interest in affordable housing and community development * Basic knowledge public policy and local government * Strong organizational and project management skills * Strong writing and communications skills; ability to write quickly and concisely with attention to detail * Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting * Familiarity with social media and new media * Self-starter Additional Info. -
