    Job Description

    JOB SUMMARY

    The SAP Specialist is responsible for managing and facilitating SAP system upgrades, to include the upcoming conversion from ECC 6 to S4/HANA, as well as coordinating business process changes in SAP. You will work with the business teams to assess changes, advise of best practices, coordinate development changes, and act as overall SME (Subject Matter Expert) for the SAP system for both our Sales and Manufacturing arms of the company. You may additionally work with our Global division at times to facilitate the exchange of SAP data between systems

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • System Upgrade Management
    • Coordinate, document, plan, and manage upgrade to S4/HANA.
    • Change management for business preparation of S4 and HANA upgrades. System Support / General
    • Facilitate business decisions required to define business processes.
    • Design and coordinate system changes in SAP to support business processes.
    • Manage and schedule SAP projects from project backlog.
    • Communicate with onsite ABAP resource and business units, and external SAP consultants.
    • Ensure alignment and documentation of SAP user permissions and system security.
    • Support and facilitate intercompany and Global SAP projects.
    • Document and participate in execution of functional and integration tests.
    • Participate in SDLC documentation to include PRA (Project Risk Assessment), BRD (Business Requirements Document), QA and UAT test results, TSR (Test Summary Results).
    • Create SAP training documents and participate in training of business team members.
    • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's Degree in related field, 3 years of training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • 3+ SAP cross‐module experience to include SD, FI, MM, PP
    • Experience with upgrade from SAP ECC and S4/HANA platforms preferred
    • Project management experience preferred

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    • Working knowledge of SAP Order‐to‐Cash, Production, and Accounting functionality
    • Basic understanding of ABAP, iDoc and overall SAP system capabilities
    • Strong critical thinking and business problem solving skills
    • Proficient in managing large‐scale and multiple projects
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, with technical and non‐ technical members of the organization including upper management
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products to include Word, Excel, and Power Point
    • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and techniques
    • Ability to follow through on issues, make informed decisions that comply with policies and procedures, complete tasks, and solve problems
