DESCRIPTION

The Data Science department's mission is to provide analytics and insights relating to the economic markets, clients, and products in which CME Group operates. The team is responsible for data science, machine learning, analytics, new tools, and generating actionable insights. The team brings diverse skills and people together in a highly collaborative, collegial manner. The team is one of the key thought leadership groups at the Exchange and serves business leadership to identify and promote significant market and client opportunities.

Principal Accountabilities

• Reports directly to Global Head of Data Science (GHDS)

• Drive cross-functional coordination with data scientists across the department

• Collaborate with Data Science leadership and key stakeholders across the company

• Analyze Data Science projects, measure impact, and communicate results

• Communicate extensively with Global Head of Data Science and Chief Economist to formulate key department messaging

• Formulate polished presentations around key messaging

• Work with Data Science project manager and department head to coordinate priorities and drive alignment

• Assist with department budgeting, planning, and execution

• Coordinate travel and calendars
