DESCRIPTION:
The Procurement Coordinator I is an entry level role in the Procurement department. This resource will be responsible for a broad range of activities ranging from creation of management reports, performing spot financial analysis, navigating Procurement support systems, handling business partner or team member support requests, facilitating activities and logistics related to strategic sourcing initiatives, and leading sourcing efforts of his/her own.
Key skills include: Above average Excel and PowerPoint proficiency, financial analytical skills, communication skills, relationship building skills , organizational skills, customer-centric orientation and the ability to overcome obstacles.
Principal Accountabilities :
Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal customers and suppliers
Respond to queries from internal customers and suppliers via procurement mailbox in a timely manner
Support the procurement process which will include: obtaining quotes, developing specifications with internal customers, evaluating supplier, performing due diligence, appraising suppliers and negotiating with suppliers
Create monthly management reports
Manage and organize knowledge capital
Problem solve for team and business partners
Prepare requisitions, purchase orders and supplier contracts
Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in business or related discipline preferably Supply Chain Management or Procurement
Proficiency in Microsoft desktop applications
