VIE Programme 24 months - Laboratory Technical Support
Job Description
For over 20 years, Eurofins Abraxis has developed, manufactured, and marketed rapid environmental, food, and life sciences test systems to meet the testing needs of research and industry. We collaborate with global government, industry, and academic leaders to develop innovative methods and applications to respond quickly to our customers’ requests for assays when new threats (e.g. harmful algal blooms, melamine, glyphosate in foods) arise. Many of our products are validated/verified by agencies such as US EPA, USDA, USGS, FDA, Japanese Ministry of the Environment, and the WHO. Eurofins Abraxis holds, or is exclusive licensee of, several key technology patents, with additional applications in process.
The Technical Support Graduate will assist with the following assigned duties:
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Recently graduated from a BS/BA degree in Biology or Chemistry.
EXPERIENCE: Previous laboratory exposure. Immunoassay and other biological/chemical assay techniques is a very strong plus.
LANGUAGE: Excellent English; knowledge of another language is a plus.
TECHNICAL IT KNOWLEDGE: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
The ideal candidate must be an autonomous worker with the proven ability to successfully prioritize and manage several projects concurrently. Comfortable using various forms of communication for professional interaction (e-mail, phone, or in-person). Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills. High attention to detail.
Please note that the VIE contracts are only applicable to European Economic Area (EEA) citizens who are between 18 and 28 years old. The position is based in Warminster, Pennsylvania, USA.
