    Job Description

    For over 20 years, Eurofins Abraxis has developed, manufactured, and marketed rapid environmental, food, and life sciences test systems to meet the testing needs of research and industry. We collaborate with global government, industry, and academic leaders to develop innovative methods and applications to respond quickly to our customers’ requests for assays when new threats (e.g. harmful algal blooms, melamine, glyphosate in foods) arise. Many of our products are validated/verified by agencies such as US EPA, USDA, USGS, FDA, Japanese Ministry of the Environment, and the WHO. Eurofins Abraxis holds, or is exclusive licensee of, several key technology patents, with additional applications in process.

    The Technical Support Graduate will assist with the following assigned duties: 

    • Providing technical support and assistance to customers, both internal and external, regarding all Eurofins Abraxis products.
    • Assisting with technical support inquiries and investigations regarding all Eurofins Abraxis products.
    • Developing and maintaining sufficient product knowledge to help investigate complaints and respond to incoming technical inquiries regarding our products and services.
    • Evaluating customer analytical information and providing appropriate guidance for troubleshooting and continued product use.
    • Performing laboratory-based testing, as required, to confirm customer-related issues and report to the appropriate teams for further investigation and resolution, if necessary.
    • Accurately maintaining detailed records regarding all investigation and application development experiments.
    • Assisting with the development and delivery of customer educational events and technical support materials.
    • Working with OEM Instrument manufacturing partners to coordinate development and validation of new applications/methods on automated instruments, as required.
    • Assisting R&D in the development of key post-sale applications for company products.
    • Providing technical guidance and information to sales/marketing and our distributors.
    • Organising and maintaining the Technical Support demonstration laboratory.
    • Developing personal technical and industry knowledge by seeking out educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION: Recently graduated from a BS/BA degree in Biology or Chemistry.

    EXPERIENCE: Previous laboratory exposure. Immunoassay and other biological/chemical assay techniques is a very strong plus.

    LANGUAGE: Excellent English; knowledge of another language is a plus.

    TECHNICAL IT KNOWLEDGE: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    The ideal candidate must be an autonomous worker with the proven ability to successfully prioritize and manage several projects concurrently. Comfortable using various forms of communication for professional interaction (e-mail, phone, or in-person). Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills. High attention to detail.

    Please note that the VIE contracts are only applicable to European Economic Area (EEA) citizens who are between 18 and 28 years old. The position is based in Warminster, Pennsylvania, USA.
