    Job Description

    Key senior team member and partner to President of dynamic scientific testing services business that is growing rapidly.

    Create, support and drive the talent management and career development strategy and programs in partnership with senior management.  Provide HR leadership, counsel and support to multiple labs, service lines and/or locations ensuring effective implementation of human resources practices, processes and programs that support organizational effectiveness and employee development.  Operates in a matrixed HR function with parent company for employee relations, payroll & benefits, HRIS, compliance, compensation administration.

    Assist managers in retaining, developing, rewarding and motivating employees through variety of different initiatives.  Work with managers to maximize employee engagement

    Will also lead and/or participate in the design and/or implementation of HR processes, practices, programs and initiatives that contribute to organizational success.

     

    ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS & DEVELOPMENT

    ·Works with leaders to efficiently and effectively execute employee and career development, succession planning, and performance management.

    ·Provides expertise, guides management and implements plans for organizational capability and design, employee engagement, and internal communications.

    ·Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to drive &/or lead change.

    ·Presents options on organizational structure, roles & responsibilities, staffing levels, etc.

    ·Consults with managers to understand training and development needs and presents recommendations as part of organizational training needs assessment.

    ·Provides guidance to managers to objectively assess and bring to resolution employee relations issues in concert with parent company.  Looks for trends and root causes as opportunities to improve organizational/team and employee satisfaction.

    ·Manages on-boarding experience in partnership with Talent Acquisition and Eurofins

    ·Design and deliver employee engagement survey, analyze and identify gaps in leadership behavior, company culture, and employee satisfaction and work with stakeholders to provide solutions for such gaps

    ·Supports Eurofins to administer and enforce various HR processes, policies and procedures, trains employees on HR policies, procedures and programs.

     

    STAFFING:

    ·Works closely with hiring managers and talent acquisition partner to establish position requirements, necessary skills & competencies for current & future needs and successful recruitment strategy including sourcing.

    ·Participates on the interview team.

    ·Monitors and tracks headcount, employee turnover and labor costs with finance support.

    ·Identifies reasons for employee turnover and develops creative plans to reduce

     

    COMPENSATION:

    ·Consults with managers on pay-related decisions including, merit increases, incentive recommendations, career-related and other adjustments.

    ·Work with leadership team member during annual plan to ensure alignment of rewards to performance, and that rewards are used as organizational levers.

     

    PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT:

    ·Assist managers with all aspects of the annual performance management and development process including coaching on effective documentation practices.

    ·Ensures legal compliance and provide constructive feedback to evaluator to improve quality of evaluation where necessary.

    ·Makes recommendations to managers regarding development opportunities for employees.

    ·Conducts exit Interviews to identify trends and make recommendations to reduce turnover and increase engagement.

    This position will be supporting the President of our EAG Business Unit.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS

    ·Experience working in fast paced, service businesses undergoing rapid growth 

    ·Experience supporting a diverse client group ranging from hourly employees to professional business functions to PhDs. STEM work force experience required.

    ·Ability to easily maneuver in direct reporting organizational structures and matrix structures is desirable

    ·Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills and business acumen.

    ·Strong planning, influencing/coaching, collaboration and communication skills, proven ability to build relationships and partner across functional lines and at all levels.

    ·Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills.

    ·10+ years’ HR experience in management/director level role

    ·BS degree in Human Resources, Management or a related field; SPHR and/or MS degree preferred.

    ·Proficiency with MS Office products particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.

    ·Maintains current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments and applicable laws regarding human resources.

    Additional Information

    Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed.
