OVERALL OBJECTIVES :
Lead one of the most recognized leading Environmental labs in the United States. Building and implementing a strategic Business turnaround plan to drive growth and rebuild positive EBIT, delivering both routine and specialist services to clients efficiently and effectively.
SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS:
· Hire, motivate, develop and retain excellent managers and employees consistent with Eurofins's culture and values.
· Develop the local market strategy as well as the strategy to rebuild national reputation for Federal work to organically grow the business. Focus on profitability, efficiency, productivity and sustainability of the business unit.
· Increase profitability to meet best industry standards in all activities.
· Take appropriate measures to improve economic profit, including hands-on personal commitment in addressing situations where profit levels are too low.
· Lead / take part in the marketing and sales process and develop personal client relationships by meeting with key clients, at all levels and develop an in depth knowledge of their requirements through regular meetings.
· Make sure that cross-selling synergies with other Eurofins laboratories in the US are being developed.
· Define and agree goals and milestones with your team(s) and ensure goals are defined and communicated to their respective teams. Establish customer centric Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress. Follow up as appropriate and become hands on if required to ensure achievement of goals.
· Establish, monitor, maintain and report out on business, operational and quality Key Performance Metrics. Drive for continuous improvement in the performance of the business for all metrics in a hands on manner.
· Improve the technical and scientific aspects of the business units by ensuring the appropriate development and application of new techniques and business processes in collaboration with the Technical Services Organization (TSO).
· Develop a growth oriented business plan with the management of the Denver Laboratory and with the COO for Eurofins TestAmerica. , Fine tune and agree the plan with the Eurofins TestAmerica President and the 1-TA scope leader and Group Representative. Implement and deliver against the agreed strategy.
· Prepare and propose annual budget and 3 years plan. Report on any deviations to deliver agreed upon results to the COO.
· Lead / take part in Group projects / initiatives / assignments in the Country and abroad as agreed from time to time.
· Ensure that company policies related to IT, Quality, Ethics and compliance are adhered to within the Denver laboratory to guarantee high quality of service to clients.
· Maintain and increase Client satisfaction, including of internal customers.
· Manage to ensure that all relevant legal and Health & Safety requirements are being abided to, within the Denver facility, that the accreditations are being maintained and expanded as needed and that all employees act according to Eurofins values.
Lead according to Eurofins Leadership Charter and act as a role model for leadership and staff
