Experienced Associate - Shareholder Activism Advisory Region Americas Location New York Business unit Capital Advisory Job description Evercore seeks to hire a Full Time Investment Banking Associate for the Activism Defense team in New York. The Activism Defense team focuses on advising clients with respect to shareholder activism, raid defense, and related situations. Responsibilities for the Associate include preparing presentations on hostile activity, shareholder activism, and corporate governance, management and execution of live raid defenses and proxy contests, defense preparedness work, new business initiatives, and managing analysts. Candidates must have previous experience in investment banking or corporate M&A law, and have the ability to think broadly about a range of strategic issues confronting the firms clients. The ideal candidate will have a background or experience in M&A, preferably shareholder activism or raid defense. Evercore's unique market position provides Associates the ability to work closely with senior bankers on industry-transforming, multi-billion dollar transactions in markets around the world.
