    The FI Quantitative Trading Strategist will be a critical part of an industry-leading organization supporting rapidly expanding needs in the firm's strategic initiatives. The FI Quantitative Strategist assists with risk management and the profitability of the desk by working closely with trading to conduct quantitative analysis across various fixed-income asset classes.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Measure, improve, develop and assist in marketing and management across various fixed-income asset classes.
    • Conduct high quality analysis across a variety of market related topics and fixed income asset classes. Create relevant reports and present finding across teams.
    • Write high quality production level code. Design and develop new packages, data pipelines, and production applications.
    • Collaborate with trading team members to improve our trading strategies.
    • Provide domain expertise in market microstructure across a variety of fixed income asset classes.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Highly capable in Python, R, and SQL, able to write, develop, and enhance production level code.
    • Ability to design and create new packages, data pipelines, and production trading applications.
    • Proficient in statistics with an ability to apply statistical methods to judge outcomes from real world data.
    • Comprehensive understanding of market microstructure and a passion for markets.
    • Comprehensive understanding of fixed income pricing models and products.
    • Ability to communicate and present findings clearly and concisely.
    • Ability to produce well-structured technical model documentation.
    • Knowledge of Bloomberg is a plus.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum required: Bachelor's degree in relevant field; MBA preferred.
    • Minimum required: 5+ years of experience in a quantitative trading environment emphasizing quantitative analysis.
    • Experience with trading loans and agency securities required.

    LICENSES AND CREDENTIALS

    • Minimum required: SIE, FINRA Series 7 and Series 63.

    SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY

    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
