No City Memphis State TN Description This internship is part of the First Tennessee Bank's INFORMATION TECHONOLOGY group. Position is located in Memphis, TN. This Internship will provide: Knowledge of the companys First Power culture, vision and mission statements A broader perspective on how First Horizon services the community and region as a whole. The opportunity to participate in and/or lead the completion of assigned, short-term projects requested by managers The opportunity to acquire specific skills that are needed to achieve professional goals and aspirations. Hands-on work experience in the field Our Internship program is a 9 week PAID program that starts on Monday, June 4, 2018 and runs through Friday, August 3, 2018. HOURS: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Average 40 hours per week Intern Objective: The goal of the internship experience will be to introduce the Intern to the roles and responsibilities of a Business Analyst in Information Technology. The Intern will get to work in the ET headquarters and be introduced to the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of Branch Technology projects and improvements. Value for the Intern: The Intern will benefit from working with a Senior Business Analyst on our team to learn how to support and accomplish tasks for technology projects. This Intern will also benefit from being part of the Technology Employee Council and gaining insight into our own power to make our workplace better. Delivery:  The Intern will: - Be responsible for complete Business Requirements Documents and Functional Requirements Documents - Learn inSTEP Teller and complete tasks to test and support those requirements - Be in charge of delegated tasks as a part of the Technology Employee Council Job Description: The Branch Technology Business Analyst Intern will: - Learn how branches are driven by technology, and how technology improvements are created, tested and deployed - Learn about the working relationship between Technology and other business areas of the bank - Gather requirements for projects - Create BRDs (Business Requirement Documents) and FRDs (Functional Requirements Documents) to support projects and initiatives - Engage and help lead events and projects as a part of the Technology Employee Council 2.75 GPA Required Requirements 2.75 GPA Required Preferred skills: - Microsoft Word and Excel experience - MIS, Computer Science, English, Communications, Business degree candidates would be a great fit, but not required - Attention to detail and an ownership mentality - High energy and "can do" attitude #LI-DD1 All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender stereo typing, and age.
