    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    The position supports the FX sales and trading desks through execution of business-critical controls related to pricing, credit and regulatory reporting. Requires significant knowledge of the market and FX processes coupled with an understanding of the SVB system infrastructure. This role assists the business by streamlining processes, implementing forward thinking technology solutions, helping to manage risk, supporting trade execution and client support.

    Reporting into the FX Product Division, the FX Middle Office Analyst will be responsible for contributing towards evolution of the FX Middle Office team, helping the FX trading and sales teams, and improve internal controls and visibility. You will assist the Product Team and trading/sales desk by streamlining processes, implementing forward thinking technology solutions, helping to manage risk, and providing trade execution and client support.

    You will collaborate closely with teams across the organization to grow and manage the business. Critical partners include Legal, Compliance, IT, Risk, Operations, Client Service, FX Sales, FX traders, channel and implementations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage the credit set up process and upstream and downstream impacts for Capital Markets Products, Credit Exposure Monitoring for Clients and Counterparty Banks, escalation of credit breaches

    • Regulatory Reporting: producing various reports incl. Swap exposure reports, DFA reports, LEI monitoring

    • Client Onboarding: Working closely with Sales/Trading on onboarding and set up of clients onto various trading platforms

    • Internal Controls: ensuring following of the procedures, KPIs and KRIs, sample testing

    • Pricing: Setting up client margins and core rates in various systems and trading platforms, governance of pricing, daily/weekly/monthly pricing reconciliations and escalations of breaches

    • Systems and external platforms configurations & admin

    • Recommend enhancements and work with IT to prioritize to stimulate sales and meet client objectives

    • Support the Sales and Traders and act as ambassador for the foreign exchange and cross-border payments business

    • Help drive change within organization to improve the way clients interact with SVB and grow business

    Requirements:

    • BS/BA Degree

    • 3+ years’ experience in banking or financial services, with a focus in Cross Border Payments, Capital Markets, FX

    • Must have strong knowledge of FX and other products including Rates and Credit

    • Must be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to show initiative and work independently

    • Requires great attention to detail and ability to work on multiple time-sensitive projects and initiatives when required

    • Keen to work in a rapidly evolving organization and make your mark

    • High degree of professionalism with the ability to influence and effect change within an organization

    • Creative, strategic thinker with outstanding business acumen and breadth of vision

    • Exceptional ability to think analytically coupled with strong written communication skills

    • Exceptional interpersonal and communications/presentation

    • Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation, relationship building, and influencing skill

    • Microsoft Office suite, familiarity with market systems such as Bloomberg, FXAll is preferred

    • Understanding of key regulations such as Dodd Frank, SOX etc.

    BASE PAY:

    $67,208.00 - $86,069.00

    Actual starting base pay will be determined on skills, experience, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other perks, as outlined in any formal offer made.
