We are looking for a detail-oriented mortgage underwriter to grow with our team! You’ll be responsible for analyzing and verifying real estate loan applications while evaluating risks and making loan decisions. Responsibilities: Assure that once all information is received it is accurate, it meets compliance standards, and it aligns with company policies Document in detail reasons for approving or rejecting a loan for our loan officers and clients Verify mortgage applications including supporting documents to be certain they contain all pertinent information for loan approval Send requests as needed for any additional information that will help determine loan risk Search clients’ employment and financial histories thoroughly to determine accuracy of all documentation • DE or VA automatic underwriter designations is a plus Qualifications: Demonstrates great decision-making and communication skills Familiarity with home loans and residential mortgages such as FHA, USDA, VA, conventional loan guidelines, and loan products Working knowledge of Microsoft office and automated underwriting systems • 5+ years of Underwriting experience • Management and Encompass experience is a plus • High School diploma or equivalent • DE Certification or SARS Certification to qualify (both preferred) Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 yearly
