    ** Job Description**

    We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineering Manager with expertise in AWS and Software Development Management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading software development teams, managing AWS migration projects, and ensuring high availability of critical systems.

    As a valued leader on the team, you will be providing leadership across multiple projects in STEM (Securities, Treasury, Early Lender Funding, ECM, Multifamily Loan Accounting Systems) on its AWS migration efforts. The projects will span both on-prem and in AWS, spanning from design, implementation, to production support. At the highest levels of technical complexity, design and verify the technology solution meets business and technical requirements and in compliance with enterprise architecture guidelines, technology standards and methodology, and compliance and security standards.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Lead a team of software developers and oversee the software development life cycle from conception to deployment to ensure that the development process is aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize project requirements, help identify, define, and manage all aspects of projects and projects scope including, but not limited to, the overall program project plan, execution, resource management, issue tracking, quality, change management, vulnerability, risk management, communications, and budget.
    • Work closely with AWS teams to design, implement, and manage scalable and fault-tolerant cloud-based applications.
    • Ensure that the team is adhering to project timelines and deliverables, following software development best practices and coding standards.
    • Manage development and maintenance of Disaster Recovery plans and ensure the high availability of critical systems.
    • Manage production support issues and ensure prompt resolution of critical issues.
    • Work with vendor products including Simcorp and Workday and engage with vendors on a needed basis, negotiate on product improvement and support.
    • Lead and mentor a team of software developers, including coaching, setting, and managing goals and expectations, align career interest with development goals, help deliver on OKRs while building a success career path.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

    ** Skills**

    • Fannie Mae experience a plus – e.g., leading Production or development teams, proven experience in problem solving and issue triaging, architecting, and implementing strategic initiates, and collaborating across different organizations within Fannie Mae.
    • Strong understanding of software development life cycle and software development best practices. Solid in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
    • Proven expertise in AWS migration/services, Disaster Recovery, and Production Support
    • Knowledge of Mortgage industry and accounting principles, mandates, risks, and governance. Experience working with SOX or Auditing teams.
    • Experienced in Product Development including designing products, developing product roadmaps, translating design requirements, prototyping etc. especially COTS, SaaS and cloud computing such as AWS.
    • Experienced in Operational Excellence including improving and overseeing operations, solid knowledge on disaster recovery principals and designs, and able to help determine causes of operating errors and taking corrective action.
    • Skilled in the graphical representation of information in the form of a charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards with programs and tools such as Excel, PowerPoint.
    • Skilled in Influencing including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict.
    • Experience in Relationship Management including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.
    • Excellent communication skills in writing or verbally, copywriting, planning and distributing communication, etc.
    • Ability to transform business processes, giving feedback, facilitating meetings, and coaching and mentoring.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

    Tools

    • Skilled in managing and supporting multiple Platforms – Linux, Windows, AWS Services Skilled in Oracle, PL SQL, Performance Tuning, data modeling methodologies.
    • Experience with AWS S3, EC2, EMR, Secrets Manager, Redshift, Cloud Formation, Cloud Watch, Lambda, Step Functions, SNS/SQS, AWS Glue
    • Experience in Python, PL\SQL, C, SQL, Unix Shell Scripting, XML, Informatica, AutoSys, JSON
    • Experience in DevOps tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins
    • Experience using APIs for developing or programming software.
    • Experience using JIRA.
    • Skilled in AWS Developer tools such as CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodeStar or CodePipeline
    • Knowledge in COTS/SaaS ex SimCorp and Workday is a plus.
    • AWS certification is a plus.
