    Job Description

    As a valued contributor to our team, you will advise on processes and analyses to monitor business problems and/or opportunities, including process improvement, system enhancement, and training. In this role, you will support the development, networking, and/or project management of strategic business objectives.

    The Enterprise Architecture - Business Architecture - Principal role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

    • Responsible for working with business and architecture stakeholders in managing Enterprise Process Taxonomy, Capability Model and Process documentation standards
    • Leading several leaderships level interactions, driving alignment across all architecture domains and industry standards
    • Partner with business, product and technology leads to define business cases, set transformation goals and objectives to launch key initiatives.
    • Identify innovation opportunities and use hands-on methods like interactive prototyping, low fidelity POC’s to showcase potential business value while mentoring other staff.
    • Lead large discovery sessions with SME’s and stakeholder groups to formulate business outcomes, customer personas, journeys & experiences, prototyping and POC’s to solve complex business problems.
    • In partnership with business sponsors and product leads, envision, plan, implement, communicate, promote and update the target business architecture over multiple time horizons.
    • Mentor other business architects across multiple value streams on actionable architecture, engagement and relationship building strategies.
    • Build relationships across business, product and Tech stakeholder groups to become a trusted partner and advisor in making key decisions.

    Skills

    • Extensive history of architecting new, original ideas and successfully implementing them across a diverse organization.
    • Strong understanding of Enterprise Architecture modeling.
    • Deep knowledge of Process Taxonomy, Business Capability Maps, Business Process Models, Value Stream Maps, Persona Development, Design thinking skills, Customer Journey, etc.
    • Strong familiarity with standards i.e. APQC
    • Experience managing multiple competing work efforts across multiple teams. Involves assessing impacts, importance and urgency and setting direction and expectations - to meet or exceed expectations for timeliness and quality of work.
    • Skilled in creating visual content and presenting to stakeholders at various level in engaging and easy to understand ways.
    • In depth knowledge of new technical capabilities with the ability to translate that knowledge into business goals and objectives aligned to strategic priorities.
    • Can communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and management, capable of successful formal and informal communication. Includes facilitating large group workshops and asking the right questions to extract the right information at the right level of detail.
    • Proven track record facilitating customer needs with the ability to summarize at various levels for stakeholders.
    • Possess extensive engagement management skills including nurturing stakeholder relationships, prompt response to requests, and proactively identifies business opportunities.
    • Experience identifying and selecting strategic options with supporting resources and then helping an organization navigate the changing environment.
    • The ability to make extremely insightful, successful business decisions and tradeoffs assessing the internal and external business landscape, strategies, opportunities, strengths and weaknesses.
    • A strong knowledge of Target Business and Operating Models and transformation and identifying benefits and risks of alignment to these.
    • Overall financial services industry knowledge with specific functional expertise; cross-functional expertise beneficial.
    • Excellent understanding of Business Transformation Frameworks, Agile and best practice techniques.
    • Applying business process modeling using Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN)
    • Partner with Business and Technical Process owners to identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and help optimize the processes enabling faster Time to Market and lowering Total Cost of Ownership

    Tools

    • Skilled in Microsoft suite of products
    • Strong Background in Business Process Repository Tools specifically ARIS, particularly as ARIS IT Architect/Designer
    • Good understanding of Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN 2.0) Lifecycle and concepts
    • Skilled in ARIS Express
    • Skilled in using OneNote
    • Experience using JIRA and confluence
    • Experience with SAFe and Agile methodologies
    • Knowledge of EA framework, i.e. TOGAF
    • Knowledge of AWS suite of products
