    TECHNOLOGY TRAINING PROGRAM 

    We invest in YOU and your career by providing challenging work and career opportunities. Our training program offers: 

    • An opportunity to develop and implement technical and analytical skills 
    • Exposure and experiential learning in full stack development with Agile and Security concepts 
    • Tools and institutional knowledge to be successful in your technical career

     

    Your full-time career will begin in July 2023 with a comprehensive 12–16-week technical learning program. Our robust curriculum will help you upskill in emerging technologies and develop the leadership skills and expertise needed to take on new roles and grow within the company.  

    The program includes: 

    • Full stack training, including front and back-end development, SDET automation, DevSecOps, and Cloud 
    • Access to courses, sandbox environments, interactive learning scenarios, and live training for tools and skills aligned to your role

     

    Some of the exciting skills you'll build upon in the program:

    • Front-end: JavaScript, Angular
    • Back-end: Core Java, Core Spring, Spring Boot, SQL Databases, RESTful Services, Python
    • SDET (Automation): Cucumber, Selenium
    • DevOps: Gitlab, Docker, Jenkins
    • Cloud: AWS

    After training completion, you will be assigned to a team from the below functions within Fannie Mae’s Chief Information Office:   

    • DEPUTY CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICE – Build business applications that ensure a consistent, reliable, and accessible delivery while championing a cloud-first perspective through innovation, speed-to-market, and customer centricity. 
    • CHIEF INFORMATION SECURITY OFFICE – Help the enterprise protect information systems and data from cybersecurity threats while supporting business needs. 
    • CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICE – Develop and support critical applications by embracing cross-organizational collaboration and emerging open-source technologies. 
    • CHIEF DATA OFFICE – Ensure that data is analyzed, managed, governed, and fully leveraged to deliver the insight needed to become a more innovative, data-driven organization, support our customers and partners, and accelerate digital transformation.

     

    Through our technical learning program, hands-on experience with industry experts, and interaction with a diverse cohort of peers, you will build on your skills and have the confidence to transition to one of our best-in-class technology teams. As an associate in our technology training program, you'll join us in delivering innovative technology solutions and services that enable Fannie Mae to help build a future where homeownership and affordable housing is accessible for all. 

    ADDITIONAL DEVELOPMENT YOU’LL RECEIVE 

    FIRST YEAR FORWARD   

    As a full-time associate, you will have the opportunity to be part of First Year Forward (FYF), an immersive experience designed to complement your on-the-job training.  FYF will help you gain exposure to our business and provide networking opportunities during your first 12 months and beyond. While in your new role, First Year Forward will empower you to succeed through:

    THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM 

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

    • Be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship  
    • Academic achievement (preferred GPA of 3.0 or above)  
    • Bachelor’s or Master's degree obtained between May 2022 and May 2023 (Please note: All Technology Program trainees will have a start date in July 2023)

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

    • Computer Sciences and Engineering majors are preferred. Other technical majors will be considered based on a candidate’s technical experience and/or aptitude.  
    • Strong understanding of software development and programming in languages such as Java, JavaScript, C++, or Python  
    • Proven ability solving problems, debugging, troubleshooting, designing, and implementing solutions to complex technical issues 
    • Familiarity with various technical frameworks and Agile development methodologies  
    • Experience with databases, software design and development in a test-driven environment   
    • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to contribute to a team atmosphere   
    • Self-starter, strong business acumen, and results focused 
    • Superior communication skills, both oral and written
