    Job Description

    As a valued colleague on our Procurement Professional Services Sourcing and Contracting team, you will perform commonly used contracting methods on professional service contract types related to pre-award negotiations and risk assessments and contract award and execution. In this role, you will use Fannie Mae’s contract workflow and approval processes and follow established guidelines.

    This role will focus on the Professional Services category which includes IT delivery, advisory consulting services, and a small amount of outsourced production support that supports the company’s key initiatives and operations. 

    THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE The Procurement Contract Specialist role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

    • Negotiate and execute contracts, which will include high-volume peak periods such as year-end. Work will focus on time and expense and fixed-price statements of work (SOWs) or similar contracts.
    • Manage the contracting process in a high-volume environment while communicating between business unit stakeholders and suppliers.
    • Negotiate agreement terms with selected suppliers.
    • Work with key stakeholders (Legal, business unit, Finance, etc.) to execute contracts.
    • Adjust procurement needs based on Fannie Mae's changing demands. Work with suppliers to ensure that procurement needs of Fannie Mae are met.

    THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCES

    • 2 years related experience.
    • Must have high volume contracting experience for professional services in a commercial procurement environment.
    • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to sourcing and contracting in a commercial procurement environment.
    • Knowledge of supply chain management.
    • Ability to analyze financial reports, price proposals and other technical data.
    • Ability to accurately document and record customer information.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
    • Skilled in Excel and SharePoint.

    DESIRED EXPERIENCES

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
    • 5 or more years of related experience preferred.
    • Experience using SAP Fieldglass.
    • Experience using ProcureOne.
