    Job Description

    As a valued colleague on our team, you will assist in the day-to-day management of Fannie Mae's financial assets. In this role, you will collect, process, and allocate monies for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reinvestment. You will also contribute to the execution of plans for managing and using financial assets, and the reporting of financial asset information.

    The Operations - Cash Management - Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

    • Gather financial asset information from relevant sources.
    • Participate in the analysis of financial asset information to track changes.
    • Monitor ongoing financial asset transactions and ensure accuracy.
    • Contribute to the development of reports to document financial asset information and analysis.
    • Execute plans for managing and using financial assets.

    Desired Experiences

    • Bachelor degree or equivalent
    • Effect timely disbursement of funds and cash activity in accordance with established controls.
    • Contribute production data and intelligence from clients to higher level staff and management preparing daily projections for cash needs.
    • Confer with trading desk or other units regarding pending transactions or transfer of funds.
    • Respond to inquiries from banks, trading desks, audit, and others as needed.
    • Generate and implement new ideas that improve the Cash Management customer experience
    • Assist in testing and implementing systems and/or process changes to support increased efficiencies or conformance with regulations.
    • Prepare documentation required by regulations and corporate standards.

    Skills

    • Experience utilizing a detail-orientated and meticulous approach to ensure accuracy in own and other’s quality of work
    • Experience adapting quickly to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
    • An ability to quickly identify issues, evaluate risk, and make informed decisions that are transparent to team and management
    • Experience in the process of critically analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data
    • Skilled collaborator in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
    • Experience following curiosity to gather accurate information for explaining concepts and answering critical questions
    • Experience retrospectively identifying measures, or indicators of system performance, and the actions needed to improve or correct performance to achieve desired outcomes
    • Highly self-driven ability to quickly learn new systems and processes covering business and technical capabilities
