    Job Description

    As a valued contributor to our team, you will provide direction and guidance to the team for the day-to-day operations of the Technology Reference Model (TRM) function, as well as lead cross-functional continuous improvement efforts and the design of the “next-generation” TRM function as a key driver in the execution of Fannie Mae’s Digital Transformation strategy.

    The Enterprise Architecture – Product Management – Principal role for TRM will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

    • Work closely with key executive stakeholders to develop and maintain TRM strategy & roadmap (TRM evolution, Product strategy, Composite & Technical Capability Patterns)
    • Be the main Point of Contact for inquiries about the TSP from executive & senior leadership: provide updates, manage ad-hoc data calls (ex.: FHFA requests)
    • Manage TRM Stakeholders & Owner relationships
    • Manage full lifecycle of patterns (TC, Composite) & Technology Products from identification of needs & intake to development, implementation & maturity
    • Identify & drive delivery process improvement opportunities
    • Stand up & mature TRM operations structure (ex.: TRM daily forum, TRM service desk, TRM service delivery SLAs & KPIs, etc.)
    • Provide overall TRM Program Management, including communications strategy & reporting, oversight of financials, backlog management, feature prioritization, and implementation of process improvements

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Excellent communication & facilitation skills at the executive level: this role will need to be able to influence & negotiate with executive stakeholders across the company, and drive their efforts towards a common objective
    • Experience managing high-visibility processes, finding the optimal balance between agility, optimal user experience, and effective risk mitigation
    • Creative problem solving & out-of-the-box thinking, able to focus on the desired business outcomes to drive the development of innovative solutions
    • Solid understanding of the Technology Reference Model & technology lifecycle at Fannie Mae, and the various functions & stakeholders that support it
    • Experience facilitating cross-functional problem solving exercises using common problem solving techniques including but not limited to:
      • Value Stream Mapping
      • Design Thinking
      • Ishikawa/Fishbone diagram analysis
      • Root Cause Analysis
      • Pareto Analysis
    • Experience in the process of analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data
    • Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions
    • Experience helping an organization to plan and manage change in effort to meet strategic objectives
    • Experience identifying and selecting strategic options, and identifying resources to meet the defined objectives
    • Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal
    • The group of skills related to Influencing including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
    • The group of skills related to Operational Excellence including improving and overseeing operations
    • The group of skills related to Relationship Management including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.
    • The group of skills related to Product Development including designing products, developing product roadmaps, translating design requirements, prototyping, etc.

     

    TOOLS:

    • Skilled in common problem solving tools including but not limited to:
    • Skilled in creating & delivering impactful communications and presentations to facilitate decision-making at senior and executive leadership levels.
    • Skilled in identifying, tracking, and reporting on relevant Key Performance Indicators
    • Skilled in Atlassian tools (i.e., Confluence, Jira, Jira Service Desk)
    • Skilled in Visio, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Skilled in MyServices to manage digital workflows
    • -Experience modeling processes/value streams (Visio, ARIS, HOPEX, etc.) and operationalizing them
