    Long Term Internship - Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management Vendor Management Chicago, Illinois Ideal candidates will be attending a college or university within the metro Chicago area to allow flexibility to commute to our downtown Chicago office. Youll be engaged in projects that will provide you with real world, hands-on experience in the exciting world of financial services. We are currently seeking a long term intern to work in our Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management department. Successful individuals should be following an academic track in IT/MIS, Business, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or Accounting. Who are we? We are a federally chartered corporation and one of 11 Federal Home Loan Banks (FHLBanks) that, with the Office of Finance, comprise the Federal Home Loan Bank System. The FHLBanks were chartered by Congress under the Federal Home Loan Bank Act of 1932 to improve the availability of funds to support home ownership. Each FHLBank is cooperatively owned by member financial institutions in its district and operated as a separate entity with its own management, employees, and board of directors. Our district consists of the states of Illinois and Wisconsin. We are regulated by the Federal Housing Finance Agency, an independent federal agency. The Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management Intern will involve the following: * Bookkeeping of all documentation relating to Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management. Maintain the most current version and organization of the documents. * Creating presentations for various meetings. * Assisting a Vendor Management staff member preparing meeting agenda and minutes of meeting. * Collecting and analyzing vendor performance data to create reports for stakeholders and the management. * Providing feedback and input for enhancement to current reports distributed to management. * Assisting with the implementation of Vendor Management tool. * Prepare new vendor entries for submission to administrative team. * Learning about and work on our Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management domains. * Supporting the groups activities to promote and maintain internal and external customer expectations. * Assisting with administrative functions, various assignments and presentations as appropriate. * Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS * Applicants should be enrolled in a undergraduate program at an accredited institution. * Should have a GPA of at least 3.0 and be in good academic standing. * Desired fields of study include IT/MIS, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Accounting. * Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or comparable tools to display data * Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint or comparable presentation tool * The start/end date and work hours may be flexible based on school schedule. * Must enjoy working in a trading floor environment.
