    Technology Support Intern (Summer 2019) The Operations and Staff Development Division of Supervision, Regulation and Credit Intern will work on an embedded team providing Information Technology support and ensuring information security and policy adherence for more than 300 employees across the Richmond District. During the program, the intern will gain exposure to Information Technology support activities for the department. This will include developing computer applications, installing software, deploying computer hardware and resolving various IT issues. In addition, the intern will develop a relationship with a mentor. Essential Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: * Develop and support departmental computer applications and databases. * Provide deployment and user support for computer hardware and mobility devices. * Provide support of information security practices. * Develop and support analytical reports related to IT activities. * Gain a thorough understanding of the IT team by participating in day to day tasks, learning support processes and participating in team meetings. * Satisfactorily complete assignments within established timeframes. * Work with presentation advisor and other interns to create and practice delivering a presentation related to internship experience. * Deliver presentation to the department, where attendees may include senior leaders. * Develop a proactive relationship with mentor who provides feedback regarding progress. * Responsibly handle highly sensitive and confidential information. ***The deadline to apply is Fri., November 30, 2018 ***The hiring range for this internship is $15.20 -$19.00, hourly ***Please note that housing will not be provided ***Candidates subject to special background check procedures This is a part time position (no benefits) that will begin in May 2019 and will end in early/mid-August 2019. The work schedule for the position will average 35 - 40 hours per week; however, flexibility to alter work schedule and travel in the Fifth District as needed, is required. This internship may or may not lead to a contingent offer of full time employment. Qualifications/Experience: * Candidate must be an undergraduate college student with a minimum 3.0 GPA with a preferred emphasis in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Networking, Artificial Intelligence or related field. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: * Ability to assess when to ask for help versus when to complete assignments with limited assistance. * Knowledge acquired from training opportunities and prior assignments to complete entry level assignments. * Strong written and oral communication skills. * Strong customer focus with both internal and external customers. * Strong organizational skills, as evidenced by a demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. * Strong team orientation, as evidenced by successful small group collaboration in an academic, athletic or work environment. Additionally, employees engaged in Supervision and Regulation may be subject to borrowing and deposit restrictions.
